INTERIM PROJECT MANAGER (GATWICK) – CHECK-IN & BAGGAGE SYSTEMS, 


SIEMENS POSTAL PARCEL & AIRPORT LOGISTICS LTD

September 2017 - July 2019

Based out of Gatwick Airport I have successfully delivered:

South Terminal (ST) Zone D & Line 3 (Void 3) project from design, development and into service (reliability and confidence). This was refurbishment (upgrading drive motors) and two new collectors behind Zone D check-ins as well as replacement of all the conveyors in Void 3 plus controls systems. The work included mechanical, electrical and software (PLC).


North Terminal – Zone A, 2 x Bag drops (Electrical and Software) for Virgin Atlantic.


ST – Zone C, 2 x new collectors and software integration for British Airways 6 x bag drops.


ST Zone K Line 7 (Void 6) complete replacement of conveyor & controls system (design, development, installation, commissioning and into service).


ST Zone J Line 6 (Void 5) new conveyor & controls system (currently in design phase).


ST Common Travel Area (CTA), a new conveyor and control systems for domestic out of gauge baggage system (design, development, installation, commissioning and into service).

 

My main responsibilities and achievements were:


Building strong and close relationships with GAL project & operations team.

Constructing an effective project team to deliver check-in and void projects.

Production and delivery of plans (working with Primavera P6 planner).

Creating and maintaining finance within SAP.

Making sure that projects are delivered within Siemens PM process.

Daily stand up meetings with project team and subcontracts.

Weekly meetings with customer and stakeholders.

Exploring opportunities and bringing on follow on work from successful delivery of projects.
